Maryland Foreclosure Mediation
If you are behind on your mortgage, Maryland foreclosure mediation may help you avoid losing your home. This state program, administered by the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), allows eligible homeowners to meet with their lender to explore alternatives before a foreclosure sale occurs.
You may qualify if the property is your primary residence; you have received a Final Loss Mitigation Affidavit, and you request mediation within the required deadline.
During mediation, options such as a loan modification, repayment plan, forbearance, refinancing, selling the home if there is equity, or a short sale may be reviewed. The process can temporarily pause the foreclosure while these options are considered. For more information, please contact us.
